FAQ: How do I Schedule an Activity (Phone Call, Appointment or Task)?
In BuddyCRM, users can schedule activities and then complete them afterwards. This encourages good practice from the sales team as well as generate significant management information.
Activities can be created from 2 different locations. Firstly, at the top of the HOME page, there are icons that allow activities to be scheduled (an activity can be a Phone Call, Appointment or Task):
Secondly, from anywhere within the RECORD tab, users can click on the SCHEDULE ACTIVITY icons in the top Right Hand corner (next to "Alerts"):
Clicking on these options creates a popup. Now you need to fill in the relevent boxes. Firstly you need to assign this activity to either a record (either account or lead) or you can make it non-specific if it does not relate to a particular record.
If you select a record, type the name of the record into the box immediately to the right and a lookup will appear (for non-specific, it's free text). Once selected, a contact box will appear underneath to type the contact with whom the activity applied to was with. Type the first letter and the lookup will again appear:
An activity also needs to be assigned a date and a time. Opportunities can also be linked if the account selected has one or more open. You should then set the activity objectives and description.

Open activities can be viewed on the HOME activity box and also on the Live Activities page (RECORD>PLANNING>LIVE ACTIVITIES) where all upcoming Calls, Appointments and Tasks are shown:
There is also an ACTIVITY BY CONTACT report that can be accessed in the Reports section (RECORD>REPORTS>General Reports)
